Payments, invoices and VAT
UpAll's billing is built for how Saudi businesses actually account for software: card payments, VAT-inclusive prices, and a proper simplified tax invoice for every charge.
Paying by card
Payments run through a Moyasar payment form embedded directly in the Billing page — you enter the card there when you first subscribe (see Upgrade and plan changes). The card is saved so renewals charge automatically each month, and you can replace it from the Billing page whenever it expires or the company changes cards.
Prices include VAT
The price on the plan card is the final amount — exactly what leaves your card. 15% VAT is already inside that figure, and no surprise line is added at checkout. The invoice is where the split becomes visible: it states the net amount and the VAT amount separately, which is what your bookkeeping needs. What each plan contains is covered in Plans and limits.
Your tax invoice
Every successful payment produces a simplified Saudi tax invoice:
- The VAT amount is shown explicitly, broken out from the total.
- It carries a ZATCA-style QR code, scannable in the format the tax authority defines.
- It's bilingual — Arabic first with English alongside, since Arabic is required on tax invoices in the Kingdom.
The invoice reaches you two ways, automatically and on demand:
- Emailed to the workspace contact email the moment the payment succeeds.
- Downloadable any time from the payment history on the Billing page — every past payment keeps its invoice, so reconstructing a year of expenses for your accountant is a few clicks, not an email search.
If a renewal charge fails, no invoice is issued for the failed attempt; invoices track money that actually moved. What happens next in that case is covered in Renewals and grace.
Recording your own VAT number
If your MSP is VAT-registered, record your VAT registration number in your workspace settings — see Workspace settings and branding. Once it's on file, your invoices print it as the buyer's VAT number.
Strictly speaking, a simplified tax invoice doesn't require the buyer's identity at all — that's what makes it "simplified". But if you intend to recover the input VAT on your UpAll subscription, your accountant will want your VAT number on the document, and thirty seconds in settings today is cheaper than annotating twelve invoices at filing time.
Quick answers
- Which cards? Whatever the Moyasar form accepts for your region; the form itself shows the available options.
- Can I pay yearly? Billing is monthly.
- Who receives the invoice email? The workspace contact email — keep it pointed at whoever handles your books.
- A charge failed — was I invoiced? No. Failed attempts produce no invoice; see Renewals and grace for the retry schedule.
